Previously, MPR deputy chairperson Fadel Muhammad asked Jokowi to remove Sri, arguing she was unethical and had underestimated the MPR as she often refused invitations from the MPR leadership to discuss the budget for the Socialization of the Four Pillars. MPR chairman Bambang Soesatyo also chimed in.
Sri Mulyani wanted the budget for this activity to be lower than before. However, the MPR leadership said the budget needed to be increased because the number of MPR leadership executives has increased to 10 from the original five.
