jpnn.com, JAKARTA - Political observer Ujang Komaruddin has commented on the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, for reportedly being involved in the business of PCR tests.

He said he had suspected for several months that there might be a number of ministers who would engage in the business.

"It turned out that my suspicions were correct. There were Jokowi's ministers who allegedly enjoyed the results of the PCR business," said Ujang when contacted by JPNN.com, Thursday (4/11).

He said he was suspicious of the PCR business because on the other hand, the government was providing free vaccines to deal with the pandemic.

"The vaccine is free, so why do we pay for PCR?" he said.

Ujang said it was "immoral" when there were state officials taking part in the business.

He urged the President to act decisively in this.

"Jokowi should remove or replace any ministers suspected of participating in the PCR business," he said.

Previously, Luhut's spokesperson, Jodi Mahardi, denied that the minister had taken any profits. (ddy/mcr20/jpnn)
