Meanwhile, PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (PII) acts as a special mission vehicle (SMV) of the Finance Ministry and provides guarantees for the government and business entity (PPP).

"It is the second project signed by PII this year. In January, PII signed the Gedebage-Tasikmalaya-Cilacap toll road project. PII is guaranteed for a total of 39 infrastructure projects," said PII President Director M. Wahid Sutopo.

He emphasized that PII continued to encourage alternative financing schemes since the state budget was still focused on the recovery of the national economy.

"PII is open to support the Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Ministry, as well as other ministries and local governments, to develop PPP scheme projects," said Sutopo.

PII will help in land acquisition, toll tariff adjustments, as well as temporary and long-term political matters, to help attract investors.

This toll road is designated as a national strategic project based on the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Regulation Number 7/2021. (antara/lia/ket/jpnn)
