East Java's Juanda Airport Ready to Resume International Flights

jpnn.com, JAWA TIMUR - The Juanda Airport in East Java is ready to resume international flights, Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi has confirmed.

Together with National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) head Lt. Gen. Suharyanto, Budi reviewed the readiness of Juanda Airport's terminal two on Friday (31/12).

This was also a preparation for the return of Indonesian migrant workers in early January.

On the same occasion, Budi and his entourage monitored the quarantine spots prepared for the workers.

The minister stated that the facilities provided were decent and there were no significant shortcomings.

"The team here performs well, so there will be no difficulties in executing the plan," he said.

Budi said that migrant workers should be welcomed and given the best service, especially during the Omicron outbreak.

"With the new Omicron variant, we need to be extra careful to guard the arrival of foreign travelers," he said. (mcr23/mcr20/jpnn)
