jpnn.com, SURABAYA - Hundreds of Bonek members held a demonstration in front of the Grahadi State Building, Surabaya, Thursday (25/11).

Bonek is the name for a group of supporters of the soccer club Persebaya Surabaya from East Java.

They demanded that the government immediately revolutionize the Indonesian soccer system to be more open and professional.

The demonstrators also carried out a long march from the Gelora November 10 Stadium to Grahadi.

They seemed to be carrying a number of attributes, flares, and banners.

Even though it was raining, they remained enthusiastic to voice their aspirations.

"We are here because we want Indonesia's soccer to be better,” said mass coordinator Andi Peci.

Chants were heard throughout the demonstration.
