"These strong winds are an indirect impact of Tropical Cyclone Paddy," added Fachri.

Fachri said tropical cyclones are low pressure systems with an average life span of three to 18 days.

The reason is that tropical cyclone energy is obtained from warm oceans.

"So, tropical cyclones will weaken or become extinct when they move and enter cold waters or enter land," said Fachri. (mcr10/mcr20/jpnn)
