jpnn.com, LAMPUNG - The Special Detachment (Densus) 88 anti-terror team of the National Police has arrested two suspected members of the Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) terrorist group in Lampung.
The Head of the anti-terror operations section of Densus 88, Senior Commissioner Aswin Siregar, confirmed the arrests on Wednesday (3/11).

However, Aswin did not explain in detail the arrests of the two suspected terrorists.
Based on the data obtained, the two suspected terrorists were arrested in the Lampung area, each with the initials DRS (46) and SK (59).

Both were suspected of being involved in the JI organization and the management of the JI-run LAZ BM ABA charity foundation.
One of the arrests followed the case of SU (61), the chairman of LAZ BM ABA, who was arrested on Sunday (31/10) in Bagelen village, Gedong Tataan district, Pesawaran Lampung.

The suspect SK was arrested on Monday (1/11) on Jalan Kesturi Bataranila near his house.
DRS was arrested at his home, Jalan Cendrawasih, Wonokrio village, Pringsewu regency, Lampung.
As for SK's involvement, he has allegedly been a member of JI since 1998. SK has served as treasurer of LAZ BM ABA in Lampung since 2012.
SK is actively involved in various meetings and fundraising for JI's global jihad program activities, as well as reorganizing and consolidating programs for the JI organization.
Densus 88 secured evidence of a motorcycle unit when arresting SK.
Meanwhile, DRS was the chairman of LAZ BM ABA for the period of 2018 to 2019 and 2020. He also formerly served as deputy chairman of LAZ BM ABA when the suspect SU was the chairman. As for his newest position, DRS has allegedly served as secretary of LAZ BM ABA before the arrest.
In addition, DRS has been a member of JI who has pledged allegiance to the Amir of JI.
DRS also knew about the flow of LAZ BM ABA funds used to run the JI organization. (antara/mcr20/jpnn)
