jpnn.com, JAWA TIMUR - House Commission VIII member Bukhori Yusuf was furious over the use of a Semeru evacuation camp as a soap opera fiming location.

"It is very unethical when the community is in mourning," said the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) legislator in a press statement, Thursday (23/12).

Bukhori assessed that all parties should empathize with the residents affected by the Semeru eruption, especially those who had lost their relatives, homes, and livelihood.

"Filming in that place is absolutely not justified because it does not reflect empathy, let alone a solution for the victims," he continued.

According to him, local authorities need to provide clarification to the public regarding whether the crew had a filming permit.

"How could they do that without the permission of the local government?" said Bukhori.
