Pemuda Pancasila Flocks to North Sumatra Legislative Council
jpnn.com, MEDAN - Dozens of members of the Pemuda Pancasila youth organization flocked to the North Sumatra Legislative Council (DPRD) building on Jalan Imam Bonjol, Medan, Monday (29/11).
This followed a statement made by House Commission II deputy chairman Junimart Girsang, who asked the government not to extend the permit of Pemuda Pancasila.
Initially, they planned to hold a demonstration in front of the North Sumatra DPRD building, but the crowd, led by organization secretary Alim M Madhy, went straight to the Bamus room of the North Sumatra DPRD.
There, they met the deputy chairpersons of the North Sumatra DPRD, Irham Buana Nasution and Harun Mustafa. The meeting took place behind closed doors.
"We are here to ask that the Junimart case be followed up by the North Sumatra DPRD. We have even submitted an official letter. So, we hope that the letter can reach the House of Representatives," said Alim.
They urged Junimart to offer a special apology to Pemuda Pancasila.
Alim stated that Junimart's statement deeply hurt the organization.
"We ask Junimart to immediately apologize in print, electronic, and online openly," he said.
