She hoped that the disclosure of Nirina's land mafia case could be a momentum for eradicating such crime.

"The case of Nirina Zubir must be a momentum for eradicating the land mafia to its roots," said Puan in her press statement, Friday (11/19).
The PDIP legislator said that every perpetrator in the land mafia network must be severely punished in accordance with the applicable legislation.

"There is no tolerance for the land mafia, which robs people of their livelihood. Their actions can make people miserable," said Puan.
Puan said that the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning (ATR), as well as the National Land Agency (BPN), would take firm action against anyone involved in the land mafia.

After all, such cases often involved government elements, she noticed.
"Fire any elements of the Ministry of ATR and the BPN who are involved in the land mafia case," said Puan.
Puan also highlighted the weakness of the land institutions, which led to the case persistence.
"The large number of land mafia cases also shows that the administrative order in the BPN has not been maximized, so it must pay more attention," he explained.
She assessed the need to form a team for the prevention and eradication of the land mafia and resolve the internal problems of the Ministry of ATR and the BPN. Puan also reminded BPN to conduct strict screening for land deed making officials.
