Minister Basuki said the Sei Alalak Bridge was to replace the 30-year-old Kayu Tangi 1 Bridge and would become the main access point of Banjarmasin.

"Because of the swamp area, it costs a bit more to find hard soil for the foundation up to 70 meters, but this curved cable innovation is the first in Indonesia designed by the Directorate General of Highways," said Basuki. (mcr18/mcr20/jpnn)
