english.jpnn.com, JAKARTA - Kapendam Jaya Air Defense Artillery Colonel Herwin BS said that there were two military personnel suspected of helping Instagram influencer Rachel Vennya escape Covid-19 quarantine.
Previously, Rachel reportedly escaped quarantine upon returning from the United States, although based on regulations, she should stay at Wisma Atlet Pademangan, a former athletes village in North Jakarta now housing Covid-19 patients.

Initially, there was only one member of the Indonesian Military, identified with the initials FS, who allegedly helped Rachel. An investigation by the Jakarta Military Command (Kodam Jaya) showed that FS, who served at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, had helped Rachel escape from the quarantine process.
"The results of yesterday's investigation showed that there were actually two individuals who worked together," Herwin said at the Jakarta Police Headquarters on Thursday (21/10).
The second alleged perpetrator served at Wisma Atlet Pademangan.
Herwin said that the two personnel had now been deactivated from the Integrated Joint Task Force Command (Kogasgabpad). Furthermore, they will be returned to their respective units and undergo an examination by the Military Police.
Currently, Rachel and boyfriend Salim Nauderer are undergoing an examination by the Jakarta Police. (mcr7/mcr20/jpnn)
