16-Year-Old Arya Habib Riziq Dies in Traffic Accident
jpnn.com, SUMATERA SELATAN - A traffic accident in Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra, has resulted in the death of a motorcyclist named M Arya Habib Riziq (16).
Arya died after his motorcycle collided with a dump truck loaded with palm shells.
Meanwhile, his friend, Sandi Wahyu (16), was rushed to the hospital as he was critically injured.
The accident occurred on Jalan Raya Lintas Timur KM 36, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, in front of the post office, Monday (29/11), at around 12.30 p.m.
Based on the information gathered, the fatal accident began when Arya and Sandi rode a motorbike towards Sakatiga.
However, the motorcycle turned right as they lost control and at the same time, came a truck driven by Dedi from the opposite direction. The collision was unavoidable.
"When the incident happened, I was just eating meatballs. I was surprised that there was a booming sound. One of the victims died on the spot," said Heri Anggara (38), a fried food seller around the scene.
Meanwhile, Riziq's father, Naini, said that before the incident, his friend Sandi picked up his son and said goodbye. They were going to pick up cempedak in his garden in Sakatiga.
