jpnn.com, DENMARK - Denmark's badminton player Viktor Axelsen has slightly complained about the delay of his Denmark Open prize money.
Axelsen himself rose to the championship podium after defeating Japanese badminton king Kento Momota with a score of 20-22, 21-18, and 21-12.

As stated in the BWF website, Axelsen as the winner of the 2021 Denmark Open is entitled to receive a cash prize of US$59,500 (approximately Rp 1.1 billion).
However, after two months have passed, Axelsen has not accepted the prize.

"Still haven’t received prize money from Denmark Open yet. In tennis, they receive after two weeks max in GS/WTA/ATP. Maybe something we could improve also," wrote Axelsen on his personal Twitter account.
In his latest tweet, Axelsen said that the Denmark Open prize had been held by the Danish badminton association before being awarded to him.

"Just got the info that the prize money has arrived to Badminton Denmark and is on its way," he said.
Axelsen himself had to close the 2021 calendar with a bit of disappointment.
The world number one single player was defeated in the first round of the 2021 BWF World Championships by the representative of Singapore, Loh Kean Yew.
Axelsen lost to Loh Kean Yew in a rubber game 21-14, 9-21, 6-21 in the match which took place in Huelva, Spain, Sunday (12/12). (mcr15/mcr20/jpnn)
