Francesco Bagnaia Takes Pole at MotoGP Misano

jpnn.com, MISANO - Francesco Bagnaia has claimed the pole for Emilia Romagna GP after appearing the fastest in the qualifying round at the Misano Circuit, Italy, on Saturday (23/10).

The Lenovo's Ducati rider recorded the best time of 1 minute and 33.045 seconds with a difference of 0.025 seconds from his team mate Jack Miller.

Meanwhile, Luca Marini of the Esponsorama Racing team completed the front row on the third Ducati bike.

As for the leader of the standings, Fabio Quartararo was unable to find speed on the wet Misano track.

Moreover, his best time in Q1 was dismissed because the driver violated the yellow flag warning.

Bagnaia had a chance to feel the top podium in Misano's first race in September and will try to keep hopes of winning the title open.

Meanwhile, Valentino Rossi will undergo a farewell race with his home fans before retiring at the end of this season.

Rossi will start from the most distended position.

The new riders can use dry tires in the third free practice session when track conditions improve throughout the weekend.

Pol Espargaro was the leading Honda rider in P4 and will be accompanied by Miguel Oliveira (KTM) and Franco Morbidelli (Yamaha) in the second row.

Marc Marquez secured the third row after finishing P7 in front of the KTM Tech3 team duo Iker Lecuona and Danilo Petrucci.
