Marc Marquez Suffers Concussion After Accident

jpnn.com, PORTUGAL - Unlucky fate befell Repsol Honda racer Marc Marquez while practicing ahead of the Algarve Grand Prix this weekend.

The Spain native suffered a mild concussion after falling from a dirt bike while practicing on Saturday (30/10) local time.

Honda immediately confirmed that The Baby Alien would be absent at the Algarve Gran Prix, which will take place in Portugal, Sunday (11/11).

This was taken to prevent Marquez's injury from getting worse.

"As a precaution, this weekend, Marquez will not appear at the Algarve Grand Prix," said the Honda team.

Quoted from Livescore, the incident occurred when he was practicing with his younger brother, Alex Marquez.

The six-time MotoGP champion had an accident that resulted in a collision in the head.

Luckily, after further examination, Marquez only suffered minor trauma to his brain.

"Last Saturday, Marc Marquez, while preparing for the Algarve Grand Prix with a standard off-road training session, fell, causing a light impact on the head," said the Honda team.

"Today Marquez has been examined by doctors during a medical check-up to evaluate his current state," it said.
