Headless Corpse Found as Dozens of Crows Swarm to Shoreline

jpnn.com, RIAU - A headless corpse was discovered on the shoreline of Pambang Baru village, Bantan district, Bengkalis regency, Riau, Thursday (30/12).

The body, which has not been identified, was first discovered by Amirudin (55), a local resident.

From a distance of about 100 meters, he saw dozens of crows swarming the corpse.

When he came closer, Amirudin was shocked to see a male corpse, whose head was missing.

Amirudin immediately contacted the local village head, Edi Zakri, who then reported the incident to the Public Order and Security Office.

"I received news from the village head and went straight to the location, where I saw a corpse without a head and the legs were no longer intact," said the office head, Second Adjutant Inspector M. Haris.

A number of Bengkalis Police personnel, led by criminal investigation unit head Adjutant Commissioner Meki Wahyudi, has inspected the scene.

The discovery of the corpse was a spectacle for local residents, who were curious about who the figure was.

The body has been evacuated to the Bengkalis Hospital for identification.
