jpnn.com, BANDUNG - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, accompanied by West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil, inaugurated the Covid-19 Hero Monument on Jalan Japati, Bandung, West Java, Saturday (4/12).

Ma'ruf stated that the Covid-19 Hero Monument would be a reminder that the nation once passed a big test.

"The government and society face the test with mutual trust and responsibility," said Ma'ruf in his remarks.

He said that the role of health workers was extraordinary in handling Covid-19. Therefore, Ma'ruf emphasized, it was very appropriate and proper for the Indonesian people to respect these fighters.

He also invited other regional administrations to follow West Java in appreciating Covid-19 heroes, especially health workers.
