jpnn.com, MALANG - In the last few days, heavy rain accompanied by strong winds has hit Malang regency in East Java.
The worst impact was seen in the Kemantren village, Jabung district, where nine houses were badly damaged, Wednesday (24/11).

Jabung Police chief Adjutant Commissioner Koesmindar confirmed the incident.
The walls of the houses collapsed and the roof was scattered by the winds.

"Alhamdulillah [thank God], there were no casualties. However, there was one house that was quite heavily damaged. Meanwhile, eight other houses suffered minor damage," said Koesmindar, Thursday (25/11).
He said that the police, together with volunteers and other stakeholders, had carried out community service to clean and repair the houses of residents affected by the disaster.

"Today, we immediately went to the field together with community members, the Indonesian Military (TNI), the Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), and all related elements to ease the burden on residents affected by the disaster," said Koesmindar.
