Medan Records No Covid-19 Cases, Deaths in Last Two Days

jpnn.com, MEDAN - The Medan City Covid-19 task force reported no confirmed Covid-19 cases and no additional deaths in the last two days.

In the past week, the daily number of confirmed cases in Medan was in the range of one to five.

The total number of confirmed cases in this city is 48,067. Of that number, 47,109 have recovered, 917 have died, and 41 others are still being treated in hospital.

Medan City Health Agency acting head Mardohar said some time last week, they also recorded zero cases.

"This has happened several times. This shows that the decline in Covid-19 cases in Medan City is very drastic," said Mardohar, Monday (22/11).

The number of bed occupancy rate in Medan City has only reached 0.82 percent, while the ICU bed occupancy is at 4.42 percent.

"There are hospitals that don't even have Covid-19 patients anymore," he said.

Mardohar asked the public not to ignore health protocols despite the decline in Covid-19 cases.
