They departed through Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten.

Manpower Minister Ida Fauziyah said on Tuesday (23/11) that the ministry had been in talks with Taiwan regarding the re-opening of migrant worker placement since it was closed by Taiwan authorities in December 2020.
The Indonesian ministry has continued to negotiate with Taiwan authorities, either through the Taipei Economic and Trade Office (TETO) in Jakarta or the Taiwan Manpower Ministry in Taipei to ensure that Indonesian migrant workers are ready to be placed under strict health protocols.

"The struggle of all of us during the Covid-19 pandemic was quite heavy, especially what the migrant workers had to go through as the placement in Taiwan was delayed for almost a year," said Ida.
The Taiwan government finally reopened the placement starting November 11, 2021, as they were convinced by Indonesia's seriousness to control the spread of Covid-19 both domestically and abroad.

Ida hoped that Indonesian workers leaving for Taiwan could take the opportunity to gain useful experiences, communicate well, and follow the procedures. (mark/mcr20/jpnn)
