jpnn.com, JAKARTA - A member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) was reported to the National Police criminal investigation unit on Wednesday (27/10) for allegedly molesting a minor.
Executive Director of the Etos Indonesia Institute, Iskandarsyah, revealed the initials of the reported DPR member.

"This report is addressed to a DPR member working in the 2019-2024 term with the initials MM for a criminal act of sexual abuse against a minor," said Iskandarsyah in a voice recording received by JPNN.com.
Iskandarsyah believed the National Police would soon investigate the case.

"This has become the direct attention of National Police chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo," said Iskandarsyah.
He also asked the public to jointly monitor the case handling by the criminal investigation unit.

"I think the suspect with the initials MM is a cadre of the National Mandate Party (PAN). I ask the public and the media to continue paying attention to this case," said Iskandarsyah.
Previously, Iskandarsyah said the incident might have occurred in Bogor regency, West Java.
MM also threatened the victim not to speak up, he said.
"For me, this is beyond humanity, considering this child victim is between the age of 16 and 19," said Iskandarsyah to JPNN.com on Wednesday (22/9). (cr1/mcr20/jpnn)
