jpnn.com, VENEZUELA - Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has praised Indonesia as one of the strongest economies in the world.
This statement was made when he attended the closing event of the 2021 Venezuelan International Tourism Festival (FITVEN) where Indonesia was a guest of honor, according to a statement from the Indonesian Embassy in Caracas received in Jakarta, Sunday.

"Indonesia is one of the strongest economies in the world. Therefore, cooperation will strengthen our tourism sector," Maduro said in his remarks.
Maduro also visited the Indonesian booth at the international tourism festival.

"Indonesia is a brother. We are very happy that Indonesia can join the FITVEN this time. Look at the various colorful Indonesian cultures," he said.
Indonesia was invited to be one of the guests of honor in the 2021 FITVEN along with several other countries such as Russia, Nicaragua, South Africa, Iran, Cuba, and Nigeria.

In this activity, apart from exhibiting Indonesian tourism spots, the Indonesian Embassy in Caracas also showed various Indonesian cultures such as traditional dance performances and angklung music.
"The participation of the Indonesian Embassy in Caracas in tourism promotion is part of its efforts to restore Indonesian tourism, which has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic," said Indonesian Ambassador to Venezuela Imam Edy Mulyono.
Imam further said that tourism promotion activities were also carried out to improve Indonesia's image, Venezuelan people's knowledge of Indonesia, and relations with the Venezuelan government.
