The movement of people between provinces must be strictly monitored, as stated on the official website of the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism on Monday (25/10).
Wu Liangyou, deputy director of the National Health Commission (NHC), reported there were 133 positive cases in a week. A total of 106 cases among them were related to 13 tour groups, including those who traveled with private vehicles.

At present, the epidemic is in the rapid development stage, as cases of infections that are not related to tour groups have been increasing. As screening work continues, the number of infections is anticipated to increase, with the areas also expanding, Wu said.
Ejin Banner in North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has become the site of the spread of new cases that occurred against local residents other than Lanzhou, Gansu Province.

The NHC claims the latest cases are imported.

China last experienced its biggest wave of Delta variants in Nanjing in July.
