jpnn.com, AMERIKA - Scientists have identified a new Covid-19 variant in the United States that is causing concern among researchers.
The Independent newspaper reported that this new breed was formed from two distinct variants that fused and shared characteristics.

After analyzing the genetic sequence of a variant called B1628, researchers from the University of Oxford concluded that the variant arose after recombination between two different variants, B1631 and B1634.
As the virus spreads further and establishes greater genetic diversity, concerns are raised that the recombination event could become more pronounced and produce subvariants that carry worrying characteristics, according to the paper.
