jpnn.com, BALI - Bad weather that lasted from Sunday (5/12) night until Monday (6/12) has effected flight schedules in Bali.
At I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Badung, at least four planes bound for Bali failed to land.

The incident occurred on Sunday night, forcing airport authorities to divert some flights to airports in other cities.
State-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura I spokesman for the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Typhoon Yudistira, admitted that his party had diverted a number of flights bound for Bali to other cities.

"Some of our flights were diverted to other airports due to bad weather," said Typhoon.
The four flights that failed to land included a Lion Air flight from Ujung Pandang to Denpasar, which was diverted to Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Jakarta.

There were also a charter plane in the Bandung-Denpasar route, which was diverted to Juanda Airport, Surabaya, and a Citilink plane in the Jakarta-Denpasar route, which was diverted to Surabaya.
The other flight had a Run To Base (RTB), meaning flying back to the airport of origin. It was a Super Air Jet in the Jakarta-Denpasar route, which was diverted back to Soekarno-Hatta.
In addition to diverted planes, there were also four flights delayed. There were a Super Air Jet in the Denpasar-Jakarta route, a Citilink in the Denpasar-Jakarta route, a Lion Air in the Denpasar-Jakarta route, and a Batik Air in the Denpasar-Jakarta route.
