jpnn.com, TANGERANG - The police arrested a man with the initial O, the alleged perpetrator of a motorcycle theft that took place on Jalan Boulevard, Madrigrass Citra Raya, Panongan, Tangerang regency, Banten.
Tangerang Police chief Senior Commissioner Wahyu Sri Bintoro said the incident occurred on Monday (20/9).

After receiving the report of the incident, the police immediately launched an investigation.
"The results of the investigation led to the perpetrator with the initial O, who lived in Cibitung district, Pandeglang regency," Wahyu said in a written statement, Tuesday (12/14).

Subsequently, the police conducted raids on O's hideout, Sunday (7/11). He ran away but was eventually caught by the police.
The police secured one motorbike and one motorcycle handlebar.

Based on O's statement, he admitted that he had sold 12 stolen motorbikes to two custodians, namely S and U, who are still at large.
"In his action, O first went around looking for a motorcycle that was safe to take and damaged it using a T-shaped wrench within five seconds," said Wahyu.
The perpetrator is subject to Article 363 of the Criminal Code concerning theft, with a threat of seven years in prison. (mcr1/mcr20/jpnn)
