On Monday, only a few goats were seen alive, while officers and volunteers were coming to evacuate victims.

It was suspected that some people were still buried.
Officers received reports that several people were missing.

Curah Koboan was one of the areas most severely affected by the increased volcanic activity of Mount Semeru.
On Saturday (4/12), many residents were reportedly trapped due to the ash rain, while access was cut off due to the collapse of the Besuk Koboan Bridge.
Today, residents' houses were still covered with ash on the roofs, while the roads and their yards were covered with ash and mud.
"From residents' reports, there are still missing people, so we continue to search this area. Livestock that are still alive will be moved to a safe place," said one volunteer at the Jember MDMC.
Some other residents have fled to safer places, including the village hall, houses of worship, and school buildings.
Rice fields and agricultural fields also died as they were covered in thick ash material.
In a number of houses, motorbikes and bicycles belonging to local residents were seen.
