jpnn.com, AFGHANISTAN - At least two explosions followed by gunfire were heard at Afghanistan's largest military hospital in Kabul, witnesses and Taliban officials said Tuesday.
Interior ministry spokesman Qari Saeed Khosty said that the explosion occurred at the entrance to the Sardar Mohammad Daud Khan hospital.

"Security forces were dispatched to the scene, there is no information on casualties," he said via Twitter.
Photos shared by residents showed plumes of smoke rising at the site of the explosion near a former diplomacy zone in the Wazir Akbar Khan area of central Kabul.

No party has claimed responsibility for the incident.
However, the official Bakhtar news agency, citing eyewitnesses, reported that a number of ISIS members entered the hospital and clashed with security forces.

The blasts add to the list of attacks and killings since the Taliban completed their victory over the previous Western-backed government in August, tarnishing their claim to restore security in Afghanistan after decades of war.
Hospital health workers who managed to escape from the scene said they had heard a huge explosion followed by gunfire. About 10 minutes later, there was another, bigger explosion, they said.
According to officials, it is not known for certain whether the explosion and gunfire took place inside Afghanistan's largest military hospital complex. (ant/dil/mcr20/jpnn)
