Police to Meet TransJakarta Boss to Discuss Recent Bus Accidents
jpnn.com, JAKARTA - Jakarta Police traffic director Senior Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo will hold a meeting with TransJakarta president director Mochammad Yana Aditya to discuss the safety management of TransJakarta buses after several incidents in the last two months.
"We will discuss improvement of safety management and HR management of TransJakarta drivers," said Sambodo, Tuesday (7/12).
Sambodo said the meeting was planned to be held on Wednesday (8/12).
A number of TransJakarta bus accidents has put the company's safety management into question.
The incidents included two TransJakarta buses that crushed on Jalan MT Haryono, East Jakarta, last Monday (25/10). As a result of the accident, two people died, namely the driver and a passenger.
On Thursday (2/12), a TransJakarta bus crashed into the traffic police post at PGC, East Jakarta. The driver has been named a suspect.

On Monday (6/12), a TransJakarta bus riding on the Puri Beta-Blok M route crashed into an empty land next to the Puri Beta 2 bus stop, Larangan, Ciledug, Tangerang. As a result, the bus suffered damage to the windshield and the front bumper shattered to pieces.
Lastly, an accident involving a TransJakarta bus also occurred recently on Jalan Taman Margasatwa Raya, South Jakarta, where a pedestrian crossing the road was hit and killed. (cr3/mcr20/jpnn)
