Fajar, Rian Beat French Duo in Hylo Open First Match

jpnn.com, JERMAN - Indonesian men's doubles Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto successfully advanced to the top 16 of the 2021 Hylo Open after getting rid of French representatives Lucas Corvee and Ronan Labar.

In the match that took place at Saarlandhalle Saarbrücken, Germany, Wednesday (3/11), Fajar and Rian won 21-18 and 21-11 over Corvee and Labar in 26 minutes.

Fajar and Rian actually started the match at a rather slow tempo. Luckily, the world's number seven pair was able to win the first interval with a score of 11-7.

After the break, Fajar and Rian immediately stepped on the gas to get a match point of 20-18 over Corvee and Labar.

The Indonesian duo finally won 21-18 in the first game after Corvee's blow was exploited by Fajar's hard smash.

Entering the second game, Fajar and Rian started to enjoy the match and immediately went ahead 11-5 at the interval.

Fajar and Rian slowly began to leave the number 77 pair from France until the position became 15-8.

Corvee and Labar looked difficult to control the field. Fajar and Rian took advantage of this to win with a score of 21-11.
