jpnn.com, MANOKWARI - First Pvt. Seran, a village supervisory non-commissioned officer (Babinsa) of the Indonesian Military (TNI) in Amban, has found a 7-year-old girl who went missing in Manokwari, West Papua.
The girl, named Gress Mandacan, went missing after leaving her house last Saturday (18/12). She was found safe.

Seran said he noticed the girl sitting alone in a stall where he was monitoring social restrictions.
"I matched the child's face with a missing kid's viral photo on social media," said Seran.

Upon obtaining the identity of the child, including her address, Seran then took her home.
According to Seran, Gress is an orphan.

"Both of her parents have passed away and Gress lives with her uncle," said Seran.
When he handed Gress to his uncle, Seran asked the family to give better attention to Gress.
Manokwari military commander Major Mendrofa said Seran's action reflected Babinsa's call of duty to help the community.
