jpnn.com, TANGERANG - The police have arrested a man with the initials AD (24), an alleged pimp in Sentul village, Balaraja, Tangerang, Banten.
Balaraja Police Chief Commissioner Gede Prasetia Adi Sasmita said the police arrested AD in a boarding house in Sentul, which was suspected of being a place for online prostitution.

"We have named AD a suspect in the online prostitution case," said Gede in a written statement, Tuesday (7/12).
Gede said that AD arranged clients for a woman with the initials IY (25), who was five months pregnant with AD's child.

"IY was reportedly the suspect's girlfriend, who was sold through the MiChat application," said Gede.
"AD also played a role in negotiating prices, and the proceeds obtained were used to meet AD's needs," he continued.

The perpetrator is subject to Article 296 and/or Article 506 of the Criminal Code, as well as Law Number 11/2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE), as amended by Law Number 19/2016. (mcr1/mcr20/jpnn)
