jpnn.com, JAKARTA - Komnas Perempuan Commissioner Siti Aminah Tardi has revealed that suicide victim Novia Widyasari Rahayu had written to Komnas Perempuan in August 2021, or about three months before the woman tragically ended her life.
"That's right, the victim reported to Komnas Perempuan in August," Aminah said at a virtual press conference, Monday (6/12).

This fact can be a support for the East Java Police in revealing the case that has dragged Second Brigadier Randy Bagus Hari Sasongko as a suspect for allegedly forcing an abortion and rape.

Based on the call, Novia was deemed to need assistance with psychological counseling and mediation with the perpetrator's family.
For this reason, Komnas Perempuan referred her to the Mojokerto Women and Children Empowerment Integrated Service Center (P2TP2A).
Novia had undergone two counseling sessions with the Mojokerto P2TP2A last November.
Unfortunately, before the third counseling, Novia ended her life.
The woman was found dead, allegedly due to suicide, near her father's grave in Mojokerto, East Java.
She was allegedly depressed after being raped by boyfriend Randy until she became pregnant and being forced to abort her pregnancy. (mcr9/mcr20/jpnn)
