jpnn.com, MEDAN - A woman in Medan, North Sumatra, named Graciella Candra, 22, has become a victim of kidnapping while riding an online taxi, Thursday (25/11).
The incident started when Graciella, who is a resident of Jalan Brigadier Katamso in Medan, ordered an online taxi from her home to Jalan Multatuli.

Not long after, the car she ordered arrived.
However, instead of going to her destination, the victim was rushed to another place.

The perpetrator closed the victim's eyes and gagged her mouth. Not only that, the perpetrator tied the victim's hands and put her in the trunk of the car.
Fortunately, the victim managed to get out of the trunk. She got off about three kilometers away from the Patumbak Police Headquarters.

Patumbak Police head Commissioner Faidir Chaniago confirmed the incident.
He said the suspect was now in police custody.
"He was arrested this morning," said Faidir, Friday (26/11).
Faidir revealed that the perpetrator committed an attempted robbery against the victim.
"It was an attempted robbery. After being robbed, the victim would be killed and thrown away," he said. (mcr22/mcr20/jpnn)
