jpnn.com, MEDAN - A one-month-old baby was found dead under a kitchen set in Medan Belawan district, Medan, North Sumatra.
He was suspected of drowning during the tidal flood that occurred in the area on Saturday (6/11) afternoon.

Before the incident, the victim, who was a resident of Jalan Kenanga, Belawan Bahagia village, was sitting with his grandmother, Erlis, on the terrace of the house.
"The victim's grandmother then went into the house for a while to take a baby bottle,” Subhan Harahap, the head of Medan Belawan district, said on Monday (8/11).

After leaving the kitchen, the victim's grandmother then returned to the terrace of the house, but she couldn't find his grandson anywhere.
"The victim's grandmother panicked, immediately screamed, and asked the residents for help," said Subhan.

Residents that learned about the incident immediately searched for the victim to the sea.
The victim was found at around 15.45 p.m. by one of the residents under the kitchen of the victim's grandmother's house in a prone position.
The victim's body was taken to Erlis' sister's house, before being buried on Sunday (7/11) morning.
