jpnn.com, JAKARTA - The regent of North Hulu Sungai in South Kalimantan, Abdul Wahid, has been prevented from traveling abroad starting October 7, 2021, for the next six months.
This is due to an alleged bribery case regarding the procurement of goods and services in the regency in 2021 and 2022.

"In order to speed up the investigation, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has indeed sent a letter to the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to prohibit his overseas activities," said KPK's acting spokesperson, Ali Fikri, in his statement in Jakarta, Wednesday (27/10).
The restriction is needed so that when the investigation team collects evidence, summons the regent, and conducts examinations, the person concerned can cooperate.

Abdul was told about the investigation on job auction arrangements and requests for fee commitments for several projects at the Public Works, Spatial Planning and Land Service (PUPRP) in his regency, with the suspect being Maliki and other related parties.
The KPK also confirmed regarding a sum of money found and secured during a search by the anti-corruption commission team some time ago.
The KPK on Thursday (16/9) named three suspects in the case.
Prior to the auction being broadcast on the Electronic Procurement Service (LPSE), Maliki is alleged to have given Marhaini and Fachriadi the tender requirements as potential winners of the two irrigation projects, with an agreement to provide a 15 percent commitment fee.
The DIR Kayakah irrigation network rehabilitation project in Kayakah village, South Amuntai district, was won by Marhaini's CV Hanamas with a contract value of Rp 1.9 billion.
Then, the DIR Banjang irrigation network rehabilitation project in Karias Dalam village, Banjang district, was won by Fachriadi's CV Kalpataru with a contract value of Rp 1.9 billion.
After the work contracts were completed, an order was issued to pay the advance payment.
Some of the money was then allegedly given to Maliki from Mujib, with an amount of Rp 170 million and Rp 175 million in cash. (antara/mcr20/jpnn)
